Thailand is ASEAN's leading market for beauty products.
The sector's turnover in 2020 was however impacted by the health crisis and fell to EUR 5.9 billion (-0.9% compared to 2019).
According to Euromonitor, the market should resume growth in value at +3.1% in 2021 and +3.5% in 2022.

The Excellence of the French Market
A genuine powerhouse of the French economy, cosmetics is one of France’s flagship sectors and a major contributor to the country’s global influence. The cosmetics sector generated €15.8 billion in exports worldwide in 2019. These figures mean that France is the market leader, with 25% of global market share.

In recent years, we have witnessed the expansion of Beauty Tech start-ups in France. French companies have exceptional potential for innovation, with creativity not only in technology (formulation of active ingredients, galenics) but also in the areas of ecological concepts, images and commitment.

France is the leader at all levels of the value chain, starting with research, skin care products, ingredients, raw materials, formulations and packaging. R&D in the cosmetics sector is the best performing in France, with 3.6 patents filed per million euros spent.
